Termination

Should a customer choose to cancel a Plinth subscription the underlying as­sets would be transferred to their owner­ship. Plinth will not lock you in. The email and domain name would be transferred into the name of the new owner. After such a transfer the new owner takes over the billing responsi­bility of those assets. Those involve a yearly renewal of the domain and monthly email hosting costs.

If a customer issues a chargeback on a payment and usage is owed it will be considered a voluntary termination of the subscription. Plinth will get in touch to confirm the intent and offer remedies if the chargeback was acci­dental. If termination is confirmed Plinth will fa­cil­i­tate transfer of as­sets if desired.

Plinth reserves the right to terminate the service.

Billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddl­e.c­om is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all bill­ing customer service inquiries and hand­les returns.

Each payment prepays one month of usage. Domain purchase and yearly renewal costs are included in the monthly fee.

A grace period of 3 months is pro­vid­ed in case of failed payments (expired credit cards for example). After 3 months of unpaid usage Plinth re­serves the right to terminate the ser­vice and delete data. In the case of established accounts with good prior billing his­to­ry this grace period may be extended at the discretion of Plinth.

Refunds

All payments can be refunded in full within 30 days of being issued.

Active use of our services while simul­ta­ne­ous­ly requesting refunds, which would result in unpaid usage, is not permitted. Refunds are primarily in­tend­ed for billing corrections and to provide customers their money back should they wish to cancel their sub­scrip­tion. Plinth will confirm whether the subscription should be canceled when a refund is requested or pro­cessed.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used and can take up to 7-10 business days or longer to pro­cess.

Pricing

Plinth costs 25 USD/EUR/GBP per month plus applicable tax if any. The price is all inclusive. That is the mon­thly fee covers costs for a domain, e­mail, website hosting, monitoring, and support.

Plinth may experiment with different prices over time. However the price will not change for existing sub­scriptions. For example if a customer signs up when the price was €25/m that customer would keep that price as long as the subscription is main­tained. Even though the price for new customers would be €30/m.

Domains

To transfer a domain out a transfer authorization code is provided. The code is used at the reciving registrar to initate the domain transfer. Be­fore the domain transfer takes place reg­istrar typ­ically renew the incoming do­main for at least one year in addition to remaining time during the trans­fer and charge ac­cord­ingly.
